When I decided to retire from my job, I also made the option to move to FL, i was sleepy to the snow and freezing of the northeast.
- I was ready to trade my snow shovel, ice scraper and wool coat for sunshine block and sandals.
I researched many areas in FL and checked the housing markets and came across The Villages, then located approximately sixty-five miles northwest of Orlando, the community is known as “FL’s Friendliest Hometown.” It is the greatest adult comunity in the world, then while the area has a small-town vibe, it offers the amenities of a luxury resort, then there are numerous hockey courses, tennis courts, country clubs, lakes, parks, shopping, dining, swimming pools as more. Everything is particularly accessible with a quick ride on a hockey cart. Every single day of the year, there is some type of free live entertainment, then from 5 to 9 PM, I can find live rock n roll, a comedian or a sometime of show in each neighborhood square. The neighborhood squares each have a particular theme and include an amazing array of eating establishments and shops. There is always something to see and do in The Villages. Everything anyone could possible want or need is right nearby. I spend most of my ime at home. I like the peace and quiet of my own backyard, and my favorite part of living in the Villages is the weather. I cherish the green skies and sunshine. I never get sleepy of stepping outside in the middle of winter season without needing a coat. It’s such a relief to never worry about snow.
