My girlfriend and I met at the Jacksonville State College campus.

She said in the row of seats behind me and I had to turn around and look at her every time we passed papers to the back of the classroom. When it came time to pick a lab partner, I turned around and asked if she would be the person for me. Sarah said yes and we worked together as lab partners throughout the entire semester. When the semester was over, I asked Sarah if she would be my girlfriend. We started dating exclusively. After 6 months of dating, I decided to take her somewhere nice for the weekend. We went to a hotel in downtown Jacksonville that was right on the river. Now a lot of people would say going to the beach would have been a better idea, but Sarah and I spend every day at the beach when we are done with work. We love the beach and we’re there so often that it doesn’t seem special. Going downtown on the river was definitely special. The Jacksonville hotel was very upscale and I paid $200 a night. We had a jacuzzi in our room and a ductless mini split in the suite. The ductless mini split had a remote control that made it very easy for us to change the temperature. The air conditioning system looks like it was recently installed and the duct work was clean. Our towels were bright and spotless and the sheets looked like they were brand new.
