When I first moved to Portland, I didn’t suppose a single person; I resituated from the opposite side of the country for the sake of a job opportunity.
- I was ecstatic by the significant increase in salary & the opening to experience a modern area… My coworkers were not initially all that welcoming or friendly! Since I didn’t think comfortable going to a bar all by myself, I had no plan how I’d ever make modern friends.
I became very lonely, slightly depressed & considered quitting my job & moving back home, however what entirely turned things around for myself and others was my visits to the local cannabis dispensary! The budtenders were all entirely welcoming, glad to chat & super expertiseable. They not only gave recommendations for different consumption types & strains however recommended that I try out their vape lounge, dab bar & edibles cafe. I imagined myself sitting alone, smoking a vape or dabbing & feeling harshly uncomfortable & awkward, but however, the moment I sat down in the vape lounge, many people started up conversation with me. Within many hours, I had many entirely amazing people joining myself and others at my table. The same thing happened when I ventured into the dab bar; By the time I got around to the cafe, where I ordered a entirely tasty cookie & beverage, I was ready to be more outgoing. Through the dispensary, I’ve made some charming friendships. I’ve l earned more about the city & found the courage to explore. I’ve now lived in Portland for almost more than three years, & I can’t imagine ever moving.
