I have never taken chess easily seriously, however have a natural talent for it, then people who play chess are usually easily dour plus thoughtful, not prone to conversation or jokes, however i have never fit in with other chess players, however unfortunately I have to spend a lot of time around them, because my natural skill for the game often arenas myself and others in high-stakes matches plus tournaments.
If you are good enough at chess you can make a residing at it, however this is what brought myself and others to Denver, CO, for the annual chess event called the national championships.
