The demand for professional HVAC work in and around the Cocoa Beach area is very strong, so I knew I could find extra gigs whenever I needed them
Back when I was a working man, I always liked to take my vacations in Florida. The sand and the surf, and heat and humidity, it was all a refreshing change of pace from the dreary cold northern states. All the while, as I relaxed and had fun on vacation, I was also doing some research for the future. I went to a different coastal city every time, and actually kept notes on the things I liked and didn’t like. After 20 years I had 15 different sets of notes about different places, and I used my research to decide that Cocoa Beach was where I wanted to retire. Cocoa checked off a lot of boxes for me, in terms of affordable housing, cost of living, and the strength of their HVAC market. After spending 30 years as a professional HVAC tech I had amassed a healthy savings account but was far from being rich. Living in a seaside paradise like Cocoa Beach would mean I might still have to work part-time to make ends meet. The demand for professional HVAC work in and around the Cocoa Beach area is very strong, so I knew I could find extra gigs whenever I needed them. It did not take long for me to settle down and feel right at home in Cocoa Beach, and soon after I landed my first freelance gig. I am doing side work around the retirement community for the biggest HVAC contractor in the Cocoa Beach area. For being in my golden years, my future looks bright.
