This year the regional championships for Cornhole were held in Denver, Colorado.
I was excited, because I had never been to Denver before, but always wanted to.
If you are not familiar with the sport, Cornhole can be found late and night on ESPN4 and other fringe sports channels. To play this game you don’t have to be tall, strong, or in shape, all you need to do is toss the bean bag about thirty feet and sink it into the hole. It’s very similar to horseshoes, only with no metal involved. I started playing as a goof, but wound up being good at it. I’m stoked, because now my partner Gus and I are in Denver for the weekend, and this place is amazing. My focus is still on the big match, because if we win we go to the national championship, but part of me just wants to explore Denver and find the best cannabis. I am a huge fan of high end cannabis, and I have even mail-ordered weed from Denver in the past, so it was exciting to get a first-hand look at the Mecca of Marijuana. The biggest issue was deciding which cannabis dispensary to choose, because there were six different ones within walking distance of our hotel. I read a lot of Yelp reviews, until I found the place that was considered to be the best cannabis dispensary in Denver. I loaded up on cannabis products before going back to my hotel. I hope the judges of the Denver Cornhole Association don’t consider cannabis to be a performance-enhancing drug!
