Only a couple of our co-workers & I smoke recreational cannabis, sometimes the people I was with and I get high in the split room before the people I was with and I go back to work.
Only a couple of nights ago at dinner time, our boss walked by their split room & he smelled cannabis… He instantly came into the room & started asking questions, and i was the only person left in the room when that incident occurred.
I acted prefer I didn’t suppose what he was talking about, and the next morning there was an SMS from the boss threatening to test everyone for marijuana use. The laws in this state are fuzzy & I am not sure if the boss can genuinely fire us or not for using marijuana; Recreational & medical marijuana were both legalized in the state of New Mexico & that includes the village of Albuquerque. I currently toil & live in Albuquerque, and when the boss threatened our job, I started to look online to see if I could find out the rules regarding the use of marijuana & our job. I didn’t suppose if the threats were valid or not. It turns out that our boss had to include that information in the contract when I signed up to toil at the firm in Albuquerque. I am not going to push the issue right now, because I do not want the boss to suppose that our friends & I were the a singles smoking recreational marijuana. The two of us genuinely won’t smoke in the split room anymore. I shall go down to our car even if I have to split our dinner split 10 minutes short.
