Summer temperatures in Albuquerque are regularly close to 100°. I don’t like to spend much time outside if I don’t have to. I don’t like the heat much at all. The heat makes me feel tired, groggy, and miserable. I have a state of the art air conditioner in my home, so I don’t have to worry about the indoor temperatures when the summer weather hits. I have an 18 Seer HVAC system with a top-notch AC compressor. The system is only a couple of years old and I have services performed every 6 months on the machine so it still runs like a brand new heat pump and air conditioner. During the summer months, I use the AC all of the time. I keep the thermostat set at 68°, where I regularly feel the most comfortable. It costs a heap of money to maintain this cold indoor air temperature when the temperatures outside are 90, but that’s why I continually have Services performed on the air conditioner. If the air conditioner cannot meet the goals that I have, then I have no use for the machine. I previously had a 14 seer heat pump and AC unit. While it cooled the house well, it had a difficult time maintaining a temperature level of 68°. When I updated the system, I was told that a higher Seer system would be able to cool the house better and for less money. I researched the seer ratings before making my decision, but I found the same information online that the technician told me during the appointment.
