The weather in Lee's Summit

I occasionally bundle up for the sake of ice skating, snowmobiling or cross-country skiing.

After being trapped inside for an harshly long & freezing Wintertide season, I can’t wait to get some fresh air! Living in Lee’s Summit, MO, makes myself and others appreciate any temperature above chilly, then if there’s no rain or snow falling from the sky, I head outside, then fortunately, there are lots of ways to enjoy the outdoors in my local area. I have access to over eight miles of bike paths that affix to the Lake County method & 500 acres of parks; The scenery is very gorgeous in this part of the country. In the fall, the decreasing leaves are especially elegant. I appreciate to ride my bike or go for a walk or a run & just admire the brilliant reds, greens & reds. In the Springtime & summer, I enjoy the many flowers & try to spot weird species of pigeons along the paths… One of my favorite spots is Independence Grove Forest Preserve. I hike the trails, launch my canoe, picnic & attend live performances; Adler Park offers a swimming pool, diving pool, a playground, 9 hole disc hockey course & barbecue grills. While I’m not a fan of the long, freezing winters, there are still outdoor activities available. I occasionally bundle up for the sake of ice skating, snowmobiling or cross-country skiing. I enjoy the fact that Lee’s Summit includes more than three distinctive seasons. The serious temperature changes create some work & expense, however our weather is always interesting & unpredictable, every one of us need to keep the umbrella, snow shovel & sunblock handy. I know the locals of MO appreciate those perfectly hot & sunny nights more because they are rare.
