My wife and I have attended the same church service since we got married.
We started going to the Lansing community church shortly after our ceremony and we went to the Sunday service each week.
Even after our children were born, my wife and I still continued to attend church services. We started missing a couple of services from time to time after our third child was born. We were still there all of the time for Christmas and Easter, but I found it very difficult once my business became a huge success. I needed to offer services on Sundays in order to be competitive and I did not want my employees to be responsible for handling all of those repairs when it was in fact my business. A couple of weeks ago, the pastor stopped me in the hall on our way out of the church and he asked for a few minutes of my time. I honestly thought he was going to say something about our attendance, but he needed some help with a project. The pastor wanted to make some updates to the commercial HVAC system in the Lansing community church and he wondered if my business would be able to help with that. He received some estimates from other Lansing HVAC service providers and they were very high. I offered to look at the problems to see if I could help. I think the pastor wanted me to do the work for free, but I had to charge him for the parts. My employees and I worked on the HVAC project for a weekend. I paid all of my guys and I did the rest of the work for free.
