I spent a week in Vegas with six of my friends for a girls trip.
- Everything started out great.
We chose a suite at the Bellagio with a view of the fountains and easy access to the excitement of the strip. We rented a cabana by the pool that included snacks, loungers, a cooler full of drinks and excellent customer service. The weather was hot, sunny and perfect. Each one of us had researched different things for us to do during our stay. We had a list of restaurants and nightclubs to try, tickets to four different shows and several fun excursions planned. On our second night, I stepped in a crack in the sidewalk. I was wearing my stilettos, a little unsteady from too many daiquiris and I fell and injured my back. The pain was excruciating. I wrapped ice in a towel and kept it pressed to my back overnight, but in the morning, I struggled to get out of bed. There was no way I was able to participate in any of our itinerary for the day. I couldn’t remain standing for more than a couple minutes at a time. One of my friends searched out a nearby recreational cannabis dispensary, headed over there and bought me a CBD-dominant topical, bath bomb and tincture. She explained that when cannabis infused balms are applied, the cannabinoids penetrate the skin to interact with the endocannabinoid system and provide localized treatment for pain and inflammation. The balm smelled really nice, absorbed quickly and I felt a noticeable improvement within an hour.
